Hi,

I was given a fix for my CD/DVD drive. The fix worked, so I thought. The drive worked fine. I turned the computer off,
and when I turned it back on, the drive was gone again. I tried re-installing the fix, again it worked, and when I turn off, poof.

How can i make the fix hold?

Thanks

You should just reply to your original post, you don't have to start a new thread. Too late now.
Try this fix:
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/index.php?a...&showfile=8
If that doesn't work, you'll have to do it manually

Also, if you're usi any Roxio or Sonic burning software, you should uninstall it

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
