Help
I'm trying to work on my daughter's dell latitude 540/640. She dropped it and now when it's turned on, it will start, screen has a quick flicker, fan runs...for about 30 seconds and then shuts off. Screen stays blank after that preliminary flicker. I've taken out hard drive, i've checked video cable in motherboard, it seems to be secure, I can't get the memory modules out (i don't know how to release them) so evidently they aren't loose. Anyone have any ideas??? She needs it for school right away.

It's hard to offer suggestions for this problem other than the unit must be taken fully apart and examined for damage.
