Hi Everyone

I don't have any security software on my computer at the moment. Partly because i don't know whats out there for windows ME.
I am looking for free software. Heres what I need.

An anti virus
A Firewall (software)
At least 2 anti spyware applications
And a password manager.

I don't want to have to go out and buy software to keep my computer secure just because Windows 9x is a dying/dead OS.

Thanks everybody :flowers:

Try the 98-Me section on the forum, especially this topic. Many programs for 98 also work for Me.

Thanks Mommabear :trumpet:

I had a look, there isn't much out there
I have an anti virus (Avast Home- I hate it, but its the only choice)
I have some anti spyware programs
But I'm still looking for a firewall :flowers:

Sygate Personal Firewall should be compatible (listed for all versions of Windows at the time):

Although no longer supported, the last version (2004) still remains, in many ways, my personal first choice for a firewall.
Cheers,
John

Can I ask how that works now when you register it? Even the free required a registration number. I love my Sygate and I have recommend it, but I've never read or heard back any comments about what they do about registering it.

Edit: Here's a link to a nice tutorial on using Sygate.
