BleepingComputer.com: Security Of Slideshow (powerpoint)

Hey all, first post.

Basically i have been given the job of converting my company's powerpoint slideshow into an automated slideshow which we attach to various current and prospective clients' emails.

I have been asked how secure such a format would be if we sent it over as an attachment, i.e would there be scope for tampering / altering it after it has been received.

I know that you can make a file read only. But i am just wondering how secure this is and also if there are any further security methods that i can put in place to ensure the safety of the file?

I'm not a PPT guru, but use it a lot for training and communications. I don't think of PPT as having ANY security: Read-Only attributes can be removed by any user. You can protect individual slide content from tampering by inserting a .pdf copy of the material, which is some comfort, but the determined troublesome receiver can still remove and replace whole slides in the sequence.

I do hope someone can suggest better measures.
