Hello,

I just purchased a Macbook Pro the other day. This is my first time using a Mac, so I'm curious....
1) How do I clean it?
For example: Within my PC, I can just click disk cleanup and my files would be cleaned....
is that possible for a Macbook Pro?

In addition,

The laptop said it has 2GB; however, of course with the programs that was manufactured into the laptop, it reduces the memory to 168.69 GB...is that good or bad?
2.) Should I consider installing additional memory?

Lastly,

3.)Should I install any security protection within the Macbook Pro?

I'm a college student, so I want to make sure my new laptop is clean & secure for the semester! My professors often tell us to keep our computers clean, so that our exams can process.

I greatly appreciate your help,

Much Gratitude,
Lexi

As far as cleaning the Mac, I use Macjanitor. (free) or leave your Mac on so it runs scripts, usually between the hours of 3:00 Am and 5:00 AM.
For Antivirus, I use ClamXav. (free)
