Hello, some days ago, i installed WoW and play about 5 minutes and then my PC turns off, Monitor turns off[NO SIGNAL DETECTED], PC works, but GPU not...I try restart PC no luck screen black...Well i hold I/O button and start pc again, go into BIOS, well all normally,start Windows [factory settings used]Then i think that was driver problem, but no,i dont install new drivers,i have latest...So i try SpeedFan 4.35...After logon i start it, blink.gif well GPU temp is hot as hell-63 C,started WoW in windows mode- GPU temp was 78C and PC turns off.... dry.gif run so many optimizations, maked GPU fan speed 100%,no luck....
I never had a similar problem...

Have you checked the heatsink and video card fans for dust and lint buildup? Clean them out with a can of compressed air

Ok, now my GPU temp is 56~58C when i start PC, playing games...again, after 5 minutes it turns off, but now it turns off at 63C huh.gif ??Well now i think problem is more serious...Then GPU not a problem.Maybe it was PSU?If yes, do i need clean it? dry.gif dry.gif dry.gif dry.gif please help! 1eye.gif angel_not.gif

OK do totally all, but problem not fixing...But some other temps are greatly improved..thanx...But then, i cannot play games? Or is there are any other fix?

What make and model of computer is it? Does it meet the system requirements for the game?

This computer meets recc system requirments,Motherboard ASUS P5V-VM-SE-DH, but problem is not in requirments, all games turning off PC..I never have that on my PC

some more info:i run dxdiag display test afro2.gif and i see that my computer turns off in direct3D test...It testing 1st test,normal 2nd test turns off PC, it uses hardware-accelerated Direct3D 8 interfaces....7 works normal 8 crashes...

OK, now i am closer to problem. run dxdiag , select Display tab, run both tests, first OK[DirectDraw] and second one fails[Direct3D] when it tests DirectX 7 my PC shows it normal, DirectX 9 PC show it normal, DirectX 8 fails..(When i start it, pc turns off...) wacko.gif

Had similar problem with a new intel quad processor. It was solely due to a problem of heat transfer from the CPU. The cooling unit supplied by the manufacturer was inadequate. I solved this problem by installing CM Hyper TX2 cooler which was highly rated by Tom's Hardware. Look at the ratings under Tom's Hardware for cooler's.
