Sometimes it could be a bit of dirt in the mouse, or on the mousepad, but highlight stuff, you've got to click so it cant be a bit of dirt or the mouse pad, i suggest someone is looking\taking control of your computer.

Have you also tryed another mouse?

If your mouse is moving by itself you have a poltergeist with you, if its your pointer it could be a build up of stuff (Dirt) on the shaft that connects the mouse ball to the sensor inside, that is if your mouse has a ball. what type of mouse do you use?

The only easy day was yesterday.
