I have just moved and need to set up my linksys wireless g broadband router up to my cable internet. I do not have the set up cd that came with it, and have gone to the linksys website and tried to download the firmware, but for some reason it will not open up on my computer. I have the VLC media player installed and it wants to open the firmware download, but i get an error everytime i open it. I am on a new pc and this is my first time dealing with the pain that is vista, and I can not find where to uninstall the VLC media player. Please help
Thanks for reading,

I believe you don't need the firmware. That's an upgrade for the chip. Kind of like a BIOS flash.
You want the Easylink Connect

Linksys and Vista
