What is the best way to restrict access to porn related sites for users using a wireless access point???

I know I can probably close down ports that are associated with p2p access, and I'm sure I can load a list of url's for known porn sites (maintaining this list would be a nightmare unless there was some type of dynamic/updatable list service) ... is there anything else I can do?

Filtering from ANY access point, depending upon whom you're trying to restrict can be creative to say the least. For my kids (6 and under at this point) I downloaded something called Glubble, which is a Firefox Addon. It has a list of approved websites for kids and also is fairly configurable. Parents can give access by request from their children and supervise what sites the kids are visiting. Any questionable sites would be strictly off limits as far as Glubble is concerned anyway.

Short of something so specific, firewalls have blocked sites areas which can be fed with domain names and/or key words which will restrict content. This depends on how sophisticated your firewall is. Good Luck!

Do you use a proxy or firewall? I am using IPCop with Advanced Proxy and URL filter addons. Porns sites are blocked, and I've closed ports for P2P thru IPTables.

I volunteer my technical skills (or lack therof ) (which consists of home/small business (workgroups not domains) pc repair and maintence) at a ministry. Another local church wants me to help them secure their youth group's wireless access point to prevent access to questionable content.

I looked into IPCop and it runs on a Linux platform, which is all good but that would take way more research/effort/learning then I can commit to this project. I already have way to much on my plate.

Any other directions you could point me to???

OpenDNS provides free adult site blocking.
Easy to set up...nothing to maintain.

OpenDNS looks like it would be exactly what I am looking for thank for the info. I like how it works by blocking the resolving of questionable domains.. good stuff...
