Use Startup Inspector and see if you can find out what ap or process
was giving you the problem:
Startup Inspector (manages startup menu – helps you identify aps in
the startup menu so you can disable unnecessary programs from running
in the background when they are not needed)
And
Startup Monitor (a small freeware ap available on the same page to
notify you and require your permission for any program to add itself
to your startup menu)

Jove, once you've d/l the file you can run it. The window is then YOUR computer and what is loading/loaded at startup. Uncheck items that you don't need loaded at startup and your computer will load a little quicker but you can still use these programs by "clicking" them to open; that part will take a little longer since they haven't been preloaded during startup.

It's a nice little app.

Luck be a lady tonight,

Kal

Let me make some time to look these over and do the d/l for inspector, and I'll let you know what happened, . . .

Funny thing, the fact that I have an untitled program in my startup list, started me out on this quest I unchecked it, but it came back, . . did I uncheck it wrong or what ?

I unchecked it and I know I at least hit the OK button, I may not have hit the apply button ?
