How to Fix A Mis-Positioned Start Menu


Guide Overview

The purpose of this guide is to teach you how to fix your start menu when it has been accidentally moved to the incorrect location.

Instructions
  • Right click on the bad start menu and ensure that "Lock the taskbar" is not checked. If it is checked as shown below, click on the "Lock the taskbar" button. If not, don't click anything and skip this step.

  • Drag the menu down to the bottom of the screen, as shown in the following animation:

  • Right click on the taskbar again and select "Lock the taskbar" to prevent this problem from recurring if you wish.
