To enable security logging options You must be logged on to this computer as an administrator to complete this procedure. Open Windows Firewall. On the Advanced tab, under Security Logging, click Settings. Choose one of the following options: To enable logging of unsuccessful inbound connection attempts, select the Log dropped packets check box. To enable logging of successful outbound connections, select the Log successful connections check box. Am I reading that a successful in bound hijacker or Peeping tom does not get noticed, logged, or prevented by the Firewall ? Lets think about this.....
If the inbound attempt was successful it would be successful because it penetrated the firewall and the success would mean it cannot be logged. Conversely if the attempt was prevented it would be unsuccessful and therefore logged. Does that help? -------------------- The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life. Yep ! That does help a little, . . but I am still amazed and disappointed that the FCC hasn't done a little more for the people.
