Once you have the .zip file that contains the driver, extract it to the desktop. Now look in the device manager for Audio Adapter SiS 7012 Audio Device select update driver. then select from a specific location. Select the include this location option. browse and select the driver folder that you have extracted to the desktop. From there select the winxp folder.

Its in a .zip file so you should be able to use windows built in extraction facility or you could download a third party tool such as 7zip.

When you open a 'zipped archive', you should have the option on the left side of the window to extract the contents. This will start the wizard that will guide you through the extraction process.

Do you mean mutimeida controller? i cant find the audio Adapter SiS 7012


It also fails to update the driver.

That is really strange, the auditing software says

However the screen shots say that the system has C-media audio device.

Is this a custom system? Or is this a system from a manufacturer? If so do you have the make and model details?

Does it not say on the case? Try looking in the system properties found in control panel under 'System'
