As stated in other threads, this is a problem AVG has to fix. They are working on it. See this post at the AVG Forum.

Just thought I'd add my two cents here. But there is post on another site on how to fix this. I followed the steps and my AVG works just fine now. Apparently it has something to do with one of the downloaded updates not working right. If you go to AVG's update page and manually update the first three files but not the last one, it will work again.

However, this fix wasn't found on the actually AVG site. But my AVG is working again so make of it what you will. smile.gif

Edit-Okay, never mind what I just posted. My AVG just told me again that the file is missing. So it was a temporary fix. Best to just wait for AVG to fix their problem.

I didn't mean that in a bad way - just informing others who may have read this thread. smile.gif
