Hello blackhawk5941,
i would say that some form of online certification would be best if looking for a job. I found that amazon has all the books I could ever need, it doesn't really matter how old the books are as the older books will give a better understanding of the fundamentals and history of PC's. -------------------- Regards

Join the Navy. Or go to a tech school. In the long run you'll be better off than trying to self-teach. I'm in school studying to be an IT specialist right now. And I'm old
I statrted working with/on computers in the early seventies. But 30 years of experience isn't worth sh*t, today. This post has been edited by MattV: Aug 18 2008, 12:39 AM |

A+ certification is the place to start.
You should buy computer parts and try to put together a PC yourself. There are tons of tutorials online to help you. |

For theory, the above links are good. For hands on, nothing beats picking up an older Plll and rip it apart and put it back together again.
Good Luck |
