When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix logs. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hello,

I had a clean computer and system yesterday...now, I'm not so sure. I must have downloaded something off the internet that caused it.

Until today, I have had no problem with my new computer. I have had it for a couple of months. The only thing VISIBLY wrong with it is that google won't even connect, and when it does and when i search for something, any of the links that google show me revert to bad sites, such as fake search engines or credit report sites. I have Antivir and it was detected 3 warnings, but supposedly there is no threat. When my internet was working, I tried to type in "bleepingcomputer.com" and the browser would not connect to the site, which is why I am on an alternate computer conducting this investigation.

If you could, please help.

-Concerned

p.s. i leave for college on monday, so please respond asap! thanks so much!

Hi all_for_dios, welcome.gif

The only way to check it out is to download HijackThis and post the resulting scan on this forum.

You'll have to be patient though, it's a very busy forum.
