A process from windows media player 11 (wmpnetwk.exe) is constantly running in the background whenever I install media player 11 on my PC. It significantly slows down my PC and even causes it to crash. This problem is fairly new as I had WMP11 downloaded for a long time before the problem occured. Of course the problem goes away when I uninstall the program, but it comes back as soon as I reinstall it. My PC has been scanned free of malwares. Does anybody have an idea of what the problem might be???
Thank you,
navjr

in the library tab right click on it > click "media sharing" unclick the media sharing tab and click ok
2. Turn off the "WMPnetwk.exe" service
Under the "RUN" command in the start meni type "services.msc"
Scroll down to "Windows media player network sharing"
