Well, This is actually not a real problem, not like some of them on here....I shudder when I see just WHAT can happen.... I was checking the registry and I found some 47 Symantec "bits" there. I had Symantec on the computer, at one time, but deleted it when I purchased McAfee Total Protection....At least I thought I'd deleted it. My question is can I safely delete the 47 bits of Symantec from the registry? I hope so. Anyway, thanks for any information you can give me.... |

Norton is notorious for leaving behind traces of itself. Before fiddling with the registry, try the Norton Removal tool.
There is a thread devoted to the tool here at BC. (link below) Scroll down to post number 5 by Quietman.
