My laptop came with backup installed on the hard drive partiioned under the D: drive. I want to reclain this unused space for my c: drive; how would i go about this?

I made a set of backup discs when I bought the computer, plus I backup weekly to a usb hard disk drive using Acronis Tru Image v11. I thought everybody did backups on a regular basis

Get a program that will merge the C and D partition together. Here is link to an article that will help you out:

You could try this trick I did, but makes sure that you have a full (not incremental or differential) backup on your other drive. Also make sure that your other drive is readable from the acronis boot disk.
