What are you going to do if your system crashes? Do you have other backups?

I made a set of backup discs when I bought the computer, plus I backup weekly to a usb hard disk drive using Acronis Tru Image v11. I thought everybody did backups on a regular basis

Get a program that will merge the C and D partition together. Here is link to an article that will help you out:

You could try this trick I did, but makes sure that you have a full (not incremental or differential) backup on your other drive. Also make sure that your other drive is readable from the acronis boot disk.

I can't guarantee it will work. I don't know much about USB drives. But maybe it will work.
