Have you tried running the install program as administrator? I have TVersity installed and I didn't get blocked by UAC. That might solve the problem, if not you'll have to disable UAC. If, with the exception of TVersity installation, UAC is not causing problems otherwise, you can disable UAC, install TVersity, enable UAC, then run TVersity. TVersity might not have a problem with UAC after it is installed.

I used this trick to fool AVG into running on Vista when it wasn't compatible.
1) Install the program in compatibility mode as both XP SP2 and Run as Administrator. 2) Navigate to the directory where it's installed and instruct all the executables to run as XP SP2 and Run as administrator. -------------------- - John

Worked perfectly for TVersity too, I guess Microsoft has something good in Vista, very little if any. Thank you every one for your input, very much appreciated. Actually Vista is working as it's supposed to work. The requirements for working with Vista have been common knowledge since before Vista came out. It's software and hardware vendors who won't rewrite/remake things that are to blame for these problems.
I've got a nice, expensive TV card that won't work with Vista - and the manufacturer won't write Vista x64 drivers for it. So I disabled it, and there it sits gathering dust. My wife had to buy 2 new printers because the printer manufacturer's wouldn't update to Vista. So, then we bought the new printers - complete with the "Works with Windows Vista" stickers - only to find that the Vista drivers weren't in the box. We had to go online and download them before we could start using the printers. -------------------- - John
