I use MBAM. Its a reputable anti-malware program and probably one of the best. Its safe smile.gif

It's especially good at removing the so-called "Rogue" anti-malware programs. In fact, if you go to the Malware removal guide on Bleeping Computer, this program is most likely the only thing you need to run to clean your machine.

Also, it's best if it's run in Normal mode (not Safe mode).

Scanning is pretty quick. For me, the quick scan is a mere 10 minutes. They also update this program many times per day.

From what I understand, the tool is freeware but this is a basic version, paying will allow for added features like realtime protection. I suppose it is similar to adaware and spywareblaster in that regard.

Avast 4 & Malwarebytes are an excellent combo. I've had 2 friends in the past month with similar issues. Loaded both programs, did the Malwarebytes scan first then loaded Avast 4 did the boot scan and all was good in the land of Oz. icon_thumb.gif
