Trying to scan on my new HP AIO L7480. Every time I try to scan windows (XP) tries to configure scan. I've reloaded HP software and tried scanning from the printer direct to file but each time windows goes into a configure loop. I then have to shutdown to get rid of the problem. Anyone got an idea how to fix this one.

Try scanning directly from a graphics program...without the HP software.

This will test the functionality of the driver and scanner.
