Can you tell us what the model number is on your D-link router? To find this information, you will need to go to the router and look at the label on the router.

Unless you know the hexadecimal wireless password that was entered on the router, there isn't an easy way to find out what it is, without logging into the router itself and looking at the hexadecimal-string in the router's wireless configuration setup page. To do that you will need to know the password of your D-link router.

If you do not know the password for your D-link router, you will have to reset the router. Having the manual to your router would be useful at this point; however, if you don't have or can't fined the manual for your router, one can usually be downloaded from the dlink.com website. Knowing the model number of your router would be helpful.

Unless the IP address for the router has been changed during the initial configuration (which is unlikely), you might try typing "http://192.168.0.50" in your browser and seeing if you can connect your browser to the D-link router. If this is successful, you should be prompted for a Username and Password.

If you don't know the password on the D-Link router, you could try to login using "admin" as the user and nothing for the password. Having the manual for your router would be helpful as your manual might have a different initial password.

If this doesn't work and you don't know the password for the router, you will have to read further and follow the instructions on how to reset the router. BE AWARE that the instructions here were taken from a manual for the D-link DLW2100AP manual, which may work differently from your D-link router. That is why it is important for you to find the model number for your router and post it here. With that information, it will be easier to give you better instructions on how to work with your particular D-link router model.

Most routers from a company operate in a similar manner, so if I look at the D-link DLW2100AP manual, it says that to reset the router to the default configuration, you can press the reset button on the back of the router. You will lose all settings on the router, but this may be the only way to login to the router if you don't know the password. Since you don't know the wireless security password, it may also be the only way to gain access to the wireless security password.

I hope this has been helpful.
