I use my lapyop at work and when I get to the office I'll plug in my Brother Laser (usb) to the laptop. Sometimes it doesn't recognize the printer and no matter what I do it will not install. Other days I plug it in and it works fine. What gives? Tried plugging b4 and after boot. Sometimes installs a copy1 brother ptinter. Sometimes won't even respond to the usb terminal plug in. Anything else plugged in jump, ext hd, etc. are fine.

When it doesn't work, next time go to Device Manager and look for yellow exclamation points by the USB controllers. Also check the Event Viewer for any irregularities that happen around the same time

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
