As my friend is completely unable to access the internet, he asked if I would post the following message - and I quote : "No Device Manager. No Printers. Error 0X80040900 when trying to log on. Try and set up a connection. Unable to create the specific connection. This can be caused by insufficient memory or not enough disc space." His comments are : "Loads of disc space, only using 5% of memory at the time" He is using Cable Broadband and XP Home. He has spoken to his ISP and they said it is nothing to do with them. I know the details are a bit sketchy but my wife took the message at the time and I've not been able to reach him to get any more info! Can anyone help please?...........OG |

Have them try this:
Now please Download LSPFix from: LSP-Fix Run the program and check immediately press the finish button. Then Reboot. To see a tutorial on how to use this program click the link below: Using LSP-Fix to remove LSP Spyware & Hijackers Let us know if its better now -------------------- Lawrence

The error code has to do with his inability to access his email server.
How is he connected to the internet? Directly from the cablemodem to an ethernet connection on his computer or is there a router in between? Shutdown the computer. Try resetting the cablemodem (and the router if there is one). Reboot the computer. |

Sorry for the delay in posting but I've had some problems of my own to sort out. I've spoken to my friend and he tells me he's got his internet working again but that he's still having problems with his computer, something about a program that he can't get rid of.
Anyway, I've suggested, seeing as he's back online, that he joins BC and posts to this thread. He can better explain his problems rather than doing it through me. Thanks for your help......OG. |
