Staying Updated Calendar of Updates.
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....

To figure out which, try this link: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35246
If you don't find the minidumps recorded in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder, check in C:\Windows for a file named Memory.dmp. I'm finding more and more Vista systems with this set as the default.
Post the results of the analysis here for us to have a look at.
While you're waiting, you can use this free tool to check your memory: http://www.memtest86.com/
Let it run for at least 3 passes, but overnight is better. If it starts generating errors, you can stop the test immediately (as the memory is most likely bad).
As for the pagefile corruption, you can use this procedure to recreate the pagefile:
Quote
-Then click on the Advanced tab,
-then on the Performance Settings Button,
-then on the next Advanced tab,
-then on the Virtual Memory Change button.
b ) In this window, note down the current settings for your pagefile (so you can restore them later on).
-Then click on the "No paging file" radio button, and
- then on the "Set" button. Be sure, if you have multiple hard drives, that you ensure that the paging file is set to 0 on all of them.
-Click OK to exit the dialogs.
c ) Reboot (this will remove the pagefile from your system)
d ) Then go back in following the directions in step a ) and re-enter the settings that you wrote down in step b ). Follow the steps all the way through (and including) the reboot.
e ) Once you've rebooted this second time, go back in and check to make sure that the settings are as they're supposed to be.

Ok, I went to my computer and right clicked, went into advanced and made sure the right boxes were checked as they were in your picture.
My setting were set at "kernel dump" whatever that is. (See attached picture).
I then went to http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35246 and really didn't do anything there.
I did a search in my PC and did find a file named Memory.dmp. (See attached picture)
This is where I am now, stuck. I'm not sure what I need to do next.

Then, just follow the directions in the first link that I gave you (with the most recent .dmp file)

So now should I continue to the Geek squad link? or delete the memory.dmp file?
I am still a bit confused.

2) Go to the link that I mentioned in my first post
3) Perform the analysis as indicated there
4) Copy and paste the results of the analysis into your next post here.

A) Copy the .dmp file to your Desktop (I do this at work because it's easier than trying to navigate to the folder that contains the file)
1) Open the Debugging tools program (WinDbg)
2) Click on File...Symbol File Path.
3) Copy and paste everything inside of the following code block into the Symbol File Path window and click on OK
SRV*c:\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols
4) If it asks to Save the workspace, choose Yes
5) Click and hold the .dmp file and drag it over the Debugging Tools window - once there, let go of the mouse and it'll launch.
After it's run the program and given you some results, type "!analyze -v" (without the quotes) in the long box at the bottom of the program - then press Enter and wait for it to generate more info. Copy and paste all of that into your next post.
Every day, at work, at least one person will come in and tell me how much they don't know about computers (usually using derogatory terms such as "stupid", "idiot", "ignorant", etc). My reply to them is "We've each got different stuff that we're good at - mine just happens to be computers. I'm sure that you know much more about your line of work than I ever will!"
And, I've got to give you credit for trying to fix it yourself, not many people will do this - they'd rather take their PC to a shop and have them do the worrying, despite the cost.
