Hi I have upgraded my computer and wondered if anyone could give me an opinion on my selection of parts and software. I want to optimize this for gaming so any help will be appriciated.

ASRock 4Core 1333-eSATA2 R5.0 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz
2GB DDR2 Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+ (512 MB)
Realtek ALC888 @ Intel 82801GB ICH7 - High Definition Audio Controller
MAXTOR STM3250310AS (250 GB, SATA)
2 x ST3160021A (160 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/100)

You haven't listed a PSU for this build, one thing that you should take into consideration is that the minimum suggested wattage for you graphics card is 480W. Since you are going with this motherboard which only has the one PCI-E x16 slot, you will not be running SLI, so that PSU size will be adequite.

I suggest getting more than 2 GB of RAM if you're using Vista. Also, as dc3 said, you need a PSU. A power supply from Corsair or Silverstone would be a good choice.
