Hi..I'm new to this forum and have been struggling with an installation problem for a few days now.
I have a toshiba sattelite pro laptop that has been crashing recently. It runs xp home edition with MS office 2003. After the last crash, I decided to format and do a clean instsall with the xp disc. I updated and installed SP3.
After that I have been trying to install office 2003 with no luck. I keep getting a missing or corrupt cab file message. Thinking that it was the office disc that was to blame...I have tried office 2007, and star office. However, I get the same message no matter which office software I try to install.
I can install any other software with no problem at all...
I have tried both the toshiba recovery disc and the xp home disc to reformat and I have the same problem installing office software.
I would be grateful for some advice a I am now completely stumped...and I have an OU assigment due in a few days and no way of completing it at the moment.
Many thanks and regards...Don
