I just recently received my new graphics card which I ordered from amazon, it was from a deal website and I didn't get any instructions. I've already placed it in the right spot in my computer, and installed the drivers, and also deleted my old drivers, but when I try to use it (after a reboot), my screen stays black as if the monitor refuses to turn on/work.

Hi .

First...are you sure that you have the card properly installed in the appropriate slot (PCIe)? Properly seated?

What is your old video card...do you have onboard video?

System manufacturer and model...or motherboard manufacturer and model?

Have you tried booting with the old card/chip (since installing the ATI card)...to try to narrow the scope of the problem down?

Louis

I've already answered the first question in my post, my old card was an Intel Chipset that is no longer sold anywhere. HP Pavilion a730n.

I don't understand the last question.

Will the system now boot using your old card? Does the system work with the old card?

Technically only works with my old card.

-EDIT-

Fixed the problem, had to switch the onboard video thing in bios setup.
