Well, he is a genius, if what I remember reading somewhere is correct.

Sorry this is a long post but I get right annoyed with our Pathetic Government as you will see.

You wouldn't want to follow US or Oz I don't think they get free Healthcare like we do we pay a bit more in Tax for that actually a lot more, If you earn £40,000 a year here you lose about £1000 in Income Tax and Council Tax (basically City Tax to anyone who doesn't know) also National Insurance included, all that in a Month. Plus the 17.5% VAT for buying Food and any other item!! . And the 66% Tax on Petrol, prices are about £1.10 at the moment so if it wasn't for that Tax Petrol would be about 40-50p a litre or $1 in Conversion Rates.

Now my opinion on this Recession setting in is this, although it may not be this simple the way I see it is that if they cut the Fuel Tax (Even just a bit) they would sort all problems, because everything is relating back to the cost of Petrol and the US Housing Market collapsing under the amount of Money they borrowed. Maybe if the Banks weren't so dumb in lending Money out when the people couldn't pay it back quick enough we wouldn't be in this problem now.

Us and Spain are the Only Countries who have kept a Growth Rate it seems we are the Best off in Europe and Germany has suffered badly with a 0.5% drop in the Last Quarter. Also the Americans got Tax Rebates and Spain are set to get some as well, we won't get a penny back .

Gordon Brown buggered our economy up big time with the amount he is taxing us and Alistair Darling is digging that Hole deeper expect a Change of Government Party before 2010 whenever the Election is called it looks to be the Conservatives at the moment Labour are going to get booted out in a Landslide Victory at the moment according to those counting the Preliminary Votes, even the Current Prime Ministers' (Gordon Brown) seat isn't safe.

Well that's my long Very Strong Opinion, and also to the Original Point of the Thread there would be different reasons for not following different Countries ways of running, the best thing to do would be to Copy various Countries Stances on something like Australia don't let people in unless they have a Job setup when they come into the Country, I like that it's the Best way to stop people coming in we don't want in.

Australia has a national health care system that is very similar to the UK (it's not free in the sense that it is paid for through taxation). In fact, I think many would argue that Australia's system is superior to that of the UK.

I don't know the Australian System too much so can't comment, But I like the policy as I mentioned before in the Last Paragraph.

I though the UK had a similar policy (unless you have an EU passport of course).

As I said I hate My Government, they just let anyone in, most don't bother me they go work or go into the Education system and Try to put something back into our Economy, while some come in and claim Benefits and don't do a Thing most of what my Dad pays in Taxes probably goes to someone in the Country sitting on their Arses.

Yes we can move freely with our Passports through EU countries although same Visa Rules apply when Visiting and you still have to apply to Live in other EU countries. When people come from Africa or Middle East instead of Claiming Assylum in the First EU country they enter (Normally Spain, Greece, France or Italy) which they should, they come here where they know our Idiotic Government will let them in.

Our Prime Minister is trying to get a Immigration Police Force set up, to get out of a Hole he dug it isn't getting him anywhere and the Opinion Polls on him are Dive Bombing. Basically he couldn't be more Hated in the North of England .
