Britain has been following along behind the US for years, adopting American practices in business, politics and lifestyle. But with the US economy, business, politics and lifestyle chocies leading to collapse, stagnation, confusion and obesity respectively shouldn't the UK be looking towards Japan for future success.

The UK managed to squeeze out a .2% growth for the last recorded quarter. Poor I know, but much better than recession.
We are so different from the Japanese in culture, I doubt we will ever be similar.

My work takes me into the mess of business jargon and buzzwords where words speak louder than action. This is due in part to the American influence.
I still vote for efficiency so I guess Budapest might have it right with the scandinavians.

Wow, that's a monster. Maybe a little everyday. I will almost certainly be finished by Christmas.

Anyway, I've just been reading that the Scandinavian countries' suicide rates are ridiculously high so I'm changing my option to Australia.
Very good standard of living and a very confident attitude. Not sure about their business record though.
Perhaps we should be looking at Oz?
