BleepingComputer.com: Daemon Tools Problem

Okay here goes. What is happening I try to install Daemon Tools on to my computer I've tried from several other sites to download it. I install it everything goes alright but when I restart the computer like it says to I do so. After restart I go to my start menu to load the program but it is not there so I do a search to see if it is on my computer but it is like gone shows nothing there. I've also tried saving it my my slave drive it is still not there nothing. I have a flash disk and was wondering if I could save it to my disk and use it from there instead of installing it to my hard drive. Are there other programs I can use instead of Daemon Tools that is as easy to use and as good to. I'm getting

Is the Daemon Tools icon in your notification area (the bit of your taskbar by the clock) - it's a green (or red if all options haven't been enabled) icon with a lightning bolt in it? If that's not there, hav you looked for the DaemonTools folder under Program Files? Is it in Add/Remove Programs in your control panel?
