Whenever I try to launch photosmart imagining software i get a 1706 error whereby photogallery.msi tries to run but can't becasue it says it can't find the photogallery.msi file although I know the file is there. Een if i direct it to the right path it still won't work and the system crashes. The problem started right after I installed NERO media sofwatware that came with my new DVD recorder. I uninstalled nero but the problem is still there.

Photogallery.msi...is the uninstalled version of Photogallery.
Perhaps uninstalling Photogallery and reinstalling it...will eliminate your situation. Or you can simply try to do a repair of the existing installed application (I would prefer the uninstall/reinstall).
