Sound Problem

Sound Problem Something that's been driving me CRAZY!

Hello BleepingComputer. I've had a weird problem that's been happening for the passed few days. It's kind of hard to explain, so here's a video of it:

I don't know how this happened, but it's starting to really get on my nerves. It's never done this before. I'm currently on a Windows Vista 32-bit with a Realtek sound card.

So do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? Anything I need to update?

Please help me, this is getting extremely irritating.

Your video means nothing to me. Could you please explain you problem?
Also the make and model of the computer

Whenever I click a certain thing with a certain menu, on each click I hear the windows error beep.

You hear the beep but does the application you're clicking on still open?

Click on the control panel and go into "Hardware and Sound". Next click on "Change System Sounds". What is checked in the program box?

What are you talking about? The application is open, it's just that when I click something, it does the beep sound for no apparent reason.

I'm using the Windows Default sounds.

Still nothing? I'm telling you that I didn't change any of the sound settings, it's just whenever I click a certain thing in a window, it plays an unnecessary window's error beep sound. Still no ideas what could be causing this?

Have you tried not using the Windows Default sounds? Under the sound scheme in Sound choose no sound and see what happens.

Go into your Sound Properties in Control Panel and sample each of the default sounds. Which one is the sound that you're hearing?
Have you checked your Event Viewer for errors that may correspond to the beeps? To do this, go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Expand the Windows Logs category and select the Application log file to view.

I tried the windows event viewer and I didn't see anything pop-up when I clicked and heard the beeping sound like in the video. I did try disabling the sound, but then I just got a different sound.

What is the name of the sound that you used? With that we can sometimes tell what the sound is for - and that can help us track down what's causing it.

The sound is called "Default Beep" and I tested it and it's correct. Here's a picture if you guys didn't understand:
