I wouldn't say it's a good deal, but you didn't get ripped off. It's a fast computer, but if you're into gaming, it doesn't have a graphics card, so you won't be able to play modern games.

Ya, but Intel integrated graphics aren't good for gaming. If you're not going to be gaming, they are fine. Besides that, looks like a pretty decent computer. If used as an internet surfing/e-mail computer it should last many many years.

until email programs become so bloated that they take up as much system resources as a game.
So, pretty much forever. You'll only need a graphics card for games, although for really light games you might be able to get away with some small ones because of your processor. I'd say you got a decent deal, as long as you're not getting into games at all. Still, put 150$ into that, and you've got a decently good gaming computer too. -------------------- Q6600, 4GB g-skill, 8800GT, P5N-D motherboard ![]() My art |

It's an okay computer, you'd do better with a dedicated graphics card. Graphics cards are used with more than just games. They can be used for video processing during encoding and playback. Look at Vista, you can get away with an integrated GPU and have Aero, but a dedicated card will perform better.

$700 is about £350 in the uk,,, that spec would be around the £450 range so you did ok on it,,, and say another £50 for an 8 series nvidia gfx card, then for £400 its a good deal,,,,,
your spec with ,,,say an nvidia 512mb 8500gt (which are around £50) to buy in the shop would then be in the reagon of £550-£650 (about $1100-$1300),,,,, so you did well. -------------------- Figgis,,,, LUFC
