So having McAfee enabled and Spybot TeaTimer running for real time protection will work good? And then using the McAfee full scan, the Spybot S&D scan + immunization, the SpywareBlaster protection, and AdAware protection/scan. You think that is enough stuff to keep my computer running in top condition in regards to malware, viruses, and spyware?

Thanks in advance,

-chris

You should take note that McAfee doesn't play well with other security applications.

Refer here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic156445.html

If it works for you and you already paid for it, then by all means keep it. But I would start looking for a replacement just in case you encounter problems in the future. Be sure you have a firewall enabled and well configured.

There is a wealth of information here in the pinned topics about how to secure yourself.

Since you pay for McAfee I suggust not to uninstall it, since mcafee has trouble with Spybot I suggust you remove spybot S&D and replace it with spywareterminator. spywareterminato also has realtime protection which you can enable.
You can download that from Here.
I also suggust you uninstall ad-aware with superantispyware unless you're paying ad-aware too...
Other than that I think you're fine. Also I hope you have a 3rd party firewall installed...
Spywareblaster,Mcafee,spywareterminator,superanti-spyware and a 3rd party firewall is good to go thumbup2.gif

Hope that helps and good luck smile.gif

Perfectly fine as long as they are on demand and not real time.
