Hi all,,, a friend and fellow B/C member wants to upgrade his processor in his compaq presario desktop pc,,,, i have looked at the specs and the mobo and it looks like it will take an intel E4000 series this is the one he is looking at on newegg,,,,,,

Yes, it should work. The reason it only supports the E4X00 series is because it only has a maximum fsb of 800mhz. The other models of core 2 duo's have an fsb of 1066, or 1333.
