Hi All,

I am maybe being a bit thick & I know there are some threads relating to XP on this subject, however I will post & see if anyone can help me.

I was runnnig XP Professional SP2, I then used the file & transfer setting wizard to back up all my files ~ 40GB so as I could recover them at a later date.

Did a clean install of Vista 32bit home premium on my current PC. Now the files & setting will not extract using the options within, Easy Transfer, it appears to read the files then tells you that there are no files in that location.

I downloaded FASTconv & tried to use it, however I keep on getting the same message that either "Access is denied" or "sorce is not valid" my syntax is "FASTconv /v/s:I:\USMT2.UNC /d:d:\extractedxp"

Where I is my external hard disk & d is my new internal hard disk

To add to my woes I have now just read the this tool does not support external USB drives, (that is what my I: drive is).

So I have tried the rmv2opq tool however I keep on getting either Error 2 or Error 3 coming up!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please can someone enlighten me as to what I am doing wrong & why I cannot extract these files
