i tried to access my email account and vista [business] went thru the motion of ringing the isp number, i have a speaker modem so i could hear the dial tones, however vista threw a
failed to connect to dial-up connection message at me. i tried several times to negotiate a new connection thru control panel\networks\etc. each attempt same outcome.
i checked in internet explorer/offline of course...looked in tools/internet options/connections/dial-up - settings and lo and behold the password is quite diferrent to the password i have to enter along with the username to access my isp. i use a prepaid isp and hotswapped my harddrive for one with xp installed. password and username worked fine - definetly a software problem.
any advice or subtle hints for my befuddled brain
thanx mooroobool
