i've got a £300 currys or pc world voucher to buy a new laptop, was wondering what laptop to buy, im willing to go up to around £400. im a student and will mainly use it for work but want the laptop to be quick and have a decent memory also wondering whats the difference between AMD, Intel Celeron M, Intel Core 2 Duo and Pentium 4, cheers I like the AMD platform, Duo core means twice the work in half the time, or almost. I own a custom computer I built myself, AMD Duo-core 4200+ CPU. Look for a laptop with a duo-core CPU, Intel or AMD Turion. cheers -------------------- Visit My WebsiteAlan T. ok forrest,,,, go for the second one mate,,, the advent,,, there simaler spec but the advent has 2gb of ram,,, running vista you will need all that 2gb,,,, the other has only 1 gb of ram and will run slower because of this,,,,, also curry's are one of the worst shops on the plannet for after sales service,,, they will do anything not to give you your money back if the goods go nipples up,,, where as pc world will change it or give a full refund without asking or trying to fob you off.
good luck. -------------------- Figgis,,,, LUFC
