Stupid question- my AMD 3000 Mhz processor is 3 Ghz right?
I mean, there are a thousand mhz in one Gig, so three times 1000 is 3Gig, right?

If you mean AMD Athlon 3000+ then no ... it runs at 1.8G
CPU-Z will tell you more then you ever want to know about your CPU.

...and, the numbering systems employed on processors no longer correspond to actual speed (for both AMD and Intel CPUs).
