When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix logs. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Hi
This is my first topic so am not too sure of procedure.

Anyway I have 'J/S Downloader.Agent' flash up on AVG antivirus but will not go to vault when I try.
I have run scans on Ad-aware 6, AVG and Spyware Begone. Only AVG recognises it but wont get rid of it.

I guess its a tracking device of some kind.

Not sure if topic has been brought up before, but could not find in the previous posts.

How can I get rid of the pesky thing?
regards
Billyblog

Did AVG provide a specific file name associated with this malware threat and if so, where is it located (full file path) at on your system?

Sometimes cleaning out your temp/temp Internet files will resolve this.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune & save it to your desktop. alternate download link
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main "Select Files to Delete" choose: Select All.
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
  • If you use Firefox browser click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
  • If you use Opera browser click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
  • Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Note: On Vista, "Windows Temp" is disabled. To empty "Windows Temp" ATF-Cleaner must be "Run as an Administrator".
