If it won't show its own menu then something has died. Don't go inside the case yourself because there are DANGEROUS VOLTAGES PRESENT even when it is switched off.
Time for a professional repair. Though with the price of monitors these days it might not be worth the repair cost - see if you can get a hard quote. -------------------- Soltek QBIC, Pentium 4 3.0GHz, 512MB RAM, 200GB SATA HDD, ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB, Netgear 54Mb/s WAP, ridiculously expensive Satellite Broadband Windows XP Home SP2, Trend Micro Internet Security, Firefox, Thunderbird, AdAwareSE, Spybot S&D, SpywareBlaster, A-squared Free, Ewido Security Suite. |

I echo Rimmer's comments, and add this:
Used PC outlets & computer parts warehouses, even thrift stores and garage sales are places to consider shopping for monitors. Check the "Little nIckel Want Ads" and the free PC mini-mags often at grocery stores, too. Use the Froogle option for local area sources, sometimes that turns up a good deal or two. The cost of shipment often plays in your favor price wise, if you are near or in an urban area ... at least in comparison to paying to have it serviced. -------------------- patiently patrolling, plenty of persisant pests n' problems ...
