I have win 98 and it is a rebuilt computer.I've had it for a year now.The only problem I have with it is it freezes up.
I can be reading my emails sending and recieving or playing games and it will freeze up and I have to control alt and delete everytime.
A few times it just shuts down on it's own.
What do you think the problem maybe?

Hi mom!Personally I would use floppy startup disk to 1x1 try following..choose
start without CD/Enter;@ A type 1st ...Scandisk/all....Scanreg/fix...& as a last
resort B4 drastic measures...SANREG/RESTORE.Also Safe Mode is useful for
diagnostic porpoises,as is Dr Watson.Any blue screens/messages?CAD is good
for isolating problem apps/progs.What happened immediately prior to this occurng?
Hardware/Software changes?Settings altered? Is the HD freezing or still humming?
Any unusual beeps/changes on start up?Defrag too.Which prog's "Not Responding"
What's the AV?Might have to uninstall /reinstall it.Ditto for other suspect things.
Enuff to go on with?Don't stress, there's a fix!
