Done any scans for malware, other than using Kaspersky?
There is no one program that does it all. Some posts that I have seen with these types of errors...indicate malware. Louis |

I would suggest an independent scan of your system. It could be that a virus has corrupted your current protection and is giving false answers to the scans.
Try a couple of these free, online scanners to see if anything has slipped by your protection: (Be advised that some of these scanners will pickup things in "quarantine" from other anti-virus programs - so review the results carefully) http://housecall.trendmicro.com http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeusers/solutions/activescan/ http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner Scan Only - no removal http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml http://us.mcafee.com/root/mfs/default.asp http://onlinescan.avast.com/ http://ca.com/us/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/ <links compiled on 02/14/2008> If a couple of the above scans come out clean, then we can start trying to troubleshoot the exact issue that's causing both iexplore and explorer to crash. -------------------- - John

We don't generally recommend registry scans here. At best they appear to be useless, at worst they will cause problems with the OS. Her'es a link about the myths behind registry scanners/cleaners: http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=61015
