I have a 10 part RAR file downloaded and put a folder on my desktop. These are 10 parts of one service manual. I am trying to uncompress them and 'merge' them into one file. How is this done? I am using WinRAR, but am willing to use any program that allows me to merge these RAR files into one uncompressed file. I am able to uncompress one file at a time, and as long as I put them into different folders I can be successful and uncompressing, but how do I merge these 10 files into one service manual? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks! -------------------- ALBERT FRANKENSTEIN

Provided they are individually numbered, does cutting and pasting into one folder not do what you require?

Once uncompressed, what is the file type of these ten files?
You should be able to uncompress each of these into a common but new folder, merging would depend on the kind of file (Word, PDF). -------------------- Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one should be silent.

Well, I am confused.
Here is the link to the downloads. It is a multipart download (10 parts). DOWNLOAD PAGE I have downloaded all 10 parts, used WinRAR to uncompress them, but it seems to me that all 10 are the same. Hmmmm. Perhaps there is no merging to be done at all? Like I said, I am confused. But uncompressing #4 gets me the same result as uncompressing #6. -------------------- ALBERT FRANKENSTEIN

Your file list should be something like:
file.rar file.r00 file.r01 file.r02 ... Open up file.rar and extract the contents to a folder, winrar will automatically extract them and merge them. |

Actually the files are something like this:
part01.rar part02.rar part03.rar etc. But it seems you are correct. As long as all parts are in one folder, then by uncompressing the first file, all files get merged. I had never seen this before. Thanks to all for your assistance. -------------------- ALBERT FRANKENSTEIN
