When I connected it my pc, everything was stretched out. I took the following steps: Control Panel >> Display >> Settings and adjusted the screen resolution to 1440 x 900. It seems ok now, except for the fact that everything is so small, from the font size to the desktop icons. What should I do now? Thanks in advance! Try moving the slider a notch either way and see if that helps. You can also try updating your video driver

Thanks, I chose the 1280 x 768 resolution and it seems better now, but not perfect.
How do I update my video driver? |

1440 x 900 is the correct resolution for that monitor (native resolution). This will give the greatest clarity of the image, but many people find the sizes uncomfortably small. Adjusting to a lower resolution works, but is a bit like getting an 8 Megapixel camera, then always using it in digital zoom mode, it's a waste. It will still lack some clarity, and 1280 x 768 will distort shapes slightly. Updating the driver will not change this.
A better way is to change the DPI setting in the Advanced Settings for the display. Everything will be correspondingly larger, but the clarity of the image won't be degraded by using a different screen resolution to what the monitor is designed for. It is also beneficial to enable ClearType in the display settings, text becomes a little easier to read.
