I tried disabling Dr. Watson, but after doing so, I received "can't write to memory" errors when right clicking. I'm not sure what to do. I noticed divx is a major cause of this error, but I do not have Divx installed. This machine is just for business purposes. Any assistance with this matter would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help. |

I disabled the program by removing the registry key, however I had to restore it since the fix didn't work.
I also did run hijack this (I have prior experience using it to fix other peoples computers) and there were only about five or six entries, all of which are legit so I don't believe this issue is caused by malware. |

It helps if you post verbatim error messages and data re errors reflected in Event Viewer that might relate.

The problem that I see...is that no application is referenced in the error message data you provided. Dr. Watson is just a reporting tool that takes note that an error has occurred, while the stated faulting module is (probably) where the error shows up (and is not responsible for the error). I think I might try a repair install of XP, nothing to lose, IMO...and you may save some time.
