I have a D-Link DI -524 wireless router and I`ve taken it to Thailand. The power plug says

Input:120 VAC 60Hz 150W
Output: 7.5 VDC 1000mA

I believe that the electical outlets here run at 220 Volts. I mistakenly plugged in this router and it`s power light flashed for a moment before going off. Did I fry it? Is there any adapter that I could use to get this to work?

Any ideas would help
Thanks

You have burnt the power plug unit out. So you'll need to buy another. The router itself might still be OK.

One needs a step down transformer to reduce the local voltage from 220/240 V to the 120 V in order to use a similar router. (Transformers are probably available locally.)

Please be very careful of any other equipment you might use there that are of dissimilar voltages. It could get very expensive.

One thing to look for when buying a power transformer. If it is labeled as a "Switching" power transformer/supply it will automatically adjust between 110V and 220V
