I am a long time paint user, and can do wonders in paint, but there is only so far you can go with paint....time to move to photoshop...

I am looking for some very simple tutorials, as everytime i try to do anything, I can never figure anything out....(btw, I have already seen the you suck at photoshop vidoes, and they look really good, but I am not even able to get that far with my lack of skills...

perferablly free also...thanks...

common mistake most newbies make in photoshop is not understanding layers, study your layers and alway keep an eye on witch layer you are on, you can not work on a layer that is not hilighted,,

Please check my Photoshop FAQ. It is outdated, but will still help you as a beginner for what the tools do, how to install brushes/fonts. There is also a list of great tutorial sites listed there.

P.s. Splodge, any chance of updating my faq with the extra tools and stuff? I dont have CS3 so there are a few tools missing
